H.S.H. Prince Frei granted an audience to the punk poet Louise Halvardsson, who talked about her work at the intersection of poetry and performance. The audience touched on questions about what counts as work and how to handle the anticipation of the next artistic idea. Shouldn’t confusion and the search for new inspiration also be considered as artistic work time? Prince Frei and Louise also discussed inner and outer identity and how to manage the unique gift that each individual has to contribute to the world. Louise identifies herself as a punk poet and is currently involved in the performance “Choreographed Grandmother Poems” and the book “40 Days on a Bench in Berlin – a Time Document.” Following the latest book, Louise also titles herself as a “bench sitter” – a reference to the forty-day performance piece reflected upon in the book. Louise is based in Gothenburg and regularly takes on roles as a poet, stage artist, performance artist, lecturer, master of ceremonies, and writing educator.
