The transition to a climate-positive world requires significant societal changes in a short time. It entails an increased risk of uncertainty, conflicts, and resistance. To succeed, it is crucial that the changes are inclusive and perceived as fair.
Prince Frei participated in a conference on inclusive transition at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg. The conference was a collaboration between Reväst, WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award, Urban Futures, and Wexsus. The conference featured inspiring lectures by, among others, philosopher and author Jonna Bornemark and transformation researcher Per Olsson. The highlight of the morning was the announcement of the winners of the WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award 2024. The final session of the morning program was a panel discussion on Perspectives on inclusive transition locally and globally.

Per Olsson presented his current research on the capacity to navigate transformations towards a just and sustainable future. The theme of collaboration and fair transition was central throughout the presentation, including maintaining a perspective on a compassionate and dignified transition from the old to the new.
